My takes:
1. Kawai Sou shares the same family name as Kawai Kanade on Iro Iro.
2. Rei (the mc in this) could potentially be the patient zero of the TS disease. In Kanade's case, she doesn't lose "everything" probably thanks to Rei's research on the disease, making it well known to the medical field.
3. Points above are my copium, hoping that the war between TStards and yurifags could start once again

The only thing I don't like about this cameo at the end of this chapter is the doctor from the first series seemed extremely indifferent to the MC's situation there. Basically just saying "It's genetic" and "I know it's tough" and then just sends them out on the streets to fend for themselves.

I want to be clear that's not what I wish on this character, but the title lead me to believe we were in for a game over ending.

The age doesn't match, it says the time skip was 10 years but it also says her age is 30, even though she was a teenager till this chapter.
