Yes although there’s gotta be some sort of supernatural element as well. My guess is some sort of giant bug, such as a spider or a praying mantis. Spider silk is supposed to be both stronger, more durable and superior to silkworm silk in every way but far more difficult if not impossible to farm, meanwhile the praying mantis is an insect known for biting the head of the other insects that they catch which mirrors the gaping maw that are pictured at the start of the chapter. Whatever the case is I’m looking forward to reading this arc I do hope it will all get translated!
