I was tired by the time I finished so I ended up missing basketball IQ, thanks though, doing research like this was what helped me enjoy this manga more and become a fan of the game, too

Discovered this series late; I randomly looked up what other projects the team that picked up Mou Ippon! was doing. It's been a long while since I cared much about basketball. Once Jordan won his 6th title and left the Bulls, my interest dropped away, to the point I can only name a small number of current players. Hell, Slam Dunk is the only basketball manga I've read before now.

It's engaging and the art's pretty good. The characters aren't that deep but I like their interplay and I empathize with their situations, so the creators are doing their jobs. It's a pity to learn that the series has been cancelled, as Girls Doing An Activity Together is a favorite of mine, but gotta appreciate what you can get.
