There is obliviousness and then there is the lack of any and all introspection. Obliviousness is fine. It's annoying, but one can get past it. The other one just makes a story unreadable. It makes character development soooooo insanely drawn out. And it's so insanely annoying. And I'd enjoy this if I could. There is a manga out there with a protag called Red, if I remember correctly, who opens an apothecary, and the romance in that is smth I really liked back when I still read it, but here it just feels like there is no progress anywhere. When searching for new manga I specifically take out slice of life, because it's completely stationary and while this story doesn't have the tag, it really should.
