i still think doben would "eventually" join waffle but in the end.. remember during ed first playthrough ed was exiled because the final battle can only be accessed by animalian? i assume during the end, doben will come and help waffle and both will pass the battle together - both are getting stronger than they currently..

the only regret i felt about how the story goes is that we dont know how original playthrough of 2nd world wrap up .. i really wish ed (and us) can see how waffle fare in the original playthrough and how ed change everything for the better in his 2nd playthrough

I'm hoping when the story gets to that point, it will do a flashback scene showing what happened previously to waffle as compared what happens now.

i dont think "weaker" is the right term... the animalian representative simply felt doben to be less "approachable" for human. i mean if you are human would you prefer to be saved by heroes that are big intimidating warewolf or a little cutesy anthropomorphic dog?
minister brute simply felt that hailing waffle as the hero would make humanity less "restless" and more "trusting"

counter point. would the cutesy doggo even be able to beat the Demon King? i mean, now he probably can. hell, Doben will more than likely join the party and both will go to defeat it, cuz in the previous run Doben dies in his village fighting alone and Waffle is dragging our MC, who is powerless, around.

In human eyes? He defeat the big scary doben.. thats enough reason for humanity and why minister brute do it.
