I love this manga. Although it is a bit absurd how many decades it would take to adapt all of the source material at this speed.

Tbh I don't think we have seen evil "human" in this series.(Human-like? Humankind?Humanoid?(Technically Demon is also humanoid, but they are evil))

You will see all shades as this story progresses. They visit more than 30 different worlds in the original novel afterall. So the "you will see" is more about how long the manga adaption will last.

Because it's wooden sword. Basically, the hero selection tournament just big ass kendo-aikido tournament. You don't use real katana in kendo tournament, do you?
And, besides, it's tournament to select hero, not to pit them to dead.

I must say, these chapters, the mission to save this second world, have much better pacing than the chapters about saving the first world. Honestly, I like this, the author has done well with this one. But gadayum, the upload schedule is torturing me.

huh... so i was half wrong. It was rigged to make the weaker one hero to manipulate him, but thought some humans might be behind it. not the actual leader of the animalians.

i dont think "weaker" is the right term... the animalian representative simply felt doben to be less "approachable" for human. i mean if you are human would you prefer to be saved by heroes that are big intimidating warewolf or a little cutesy anthropomorphic dog?
minister brute simply felt that hailing waffle as the hero would make humanity less "restless" and more "trusting"

The only problem is that the big dude got principals that he follows. So he might bow out of fighting with the Hero because he things the Hero should be one dude fighting instead of bunch of dudes fighting. Even if the enemies he face is multiple instead of singular. The dude has been so against human support and that beasts can do it themselves that I can see why the Kidnappers did this ploy.

Though I do hope that either his sis or Waffles is like, "Don't be dumb! Team up!"

i still think doben would "eventually" join waffle but in the end.. remember during ed first playthrough ed was exiled because the final battle can only be accessed by animalian? i assume during the end, doben will come and help waffle and both will pass the battle together - both are getting stronger than they currently..

the only regret i felt about how the story goes is that we dont know how original playthrough of 2nd world wrap up .. i really wish ed (and us) can see how waffle fare in the original playthrough and how ed change everything for the better in his 2nd playthrough
