I don't remember what chapter, but I'm pretty sure he also planning to get exiled in this timeline too.
Also, if I recall correctly, the "contract" with the God is: to gain the trust of the hero party, stay in the party for at least 6 months, get EXILED and do it for 100 different worlds, only then he can go back to his original world.

That was the original contract but after completing that he didn't actually get sent home, so now he's just said fuck it and is trying to save his friends this time around
