Lol. After 3000 years someone can have descendants over the whole country,continent or even the whole world. Especially in fantasy settings where people tend to travel a lot, spreading ones genes far sounds plausible.

tbf, the world was possible only bc of mc's heroism those years ago. their world was built on mc's corpse and if mc didnt exist, humanity would either still be in the feudal age or die out completely. for everyone else, 4000 years passed. for mc, it's probably like gordon freeman's time in stasis where he was only waiting forprolly 20 minutes. and knowing how these kind of societies work, they prolly thoroughly taught and brainwashed that the remaining 4 heroes are the true saviours while saying c was a monster or that mc didn't even exist, so yeah I too would feel very petty that not only did the world that I fought and bled for trampled on my name and slandered my credit but also painted themselves as saviours while calling me a monster or not even record a footnote of me
