That seems like someone did bother to keep track of what happens to unconditional slaves...

Doesn't that just meant like the general populace? Like most people don't care about unconditional slaves but of course with the corpses being found, higher up people will start connecting dots of these piling trouble and end up deducing it's unconditional slaves?

Think there are even deeper issues that need addressed. Like why the author thinks his MC would find abused slaves openly wondering around the public spaces of the noble's district during the day. Especially when they were just told that said noble was using multiple middlemen to hide their activities.

So with the thief guy showing up and then the suspicious elf, it feels like blind luck is dropping more competent individuals in his path to do the actual work while he wonders around like the blunt instrument he is.
