This is peak. In fact, it could have even ended nicely right there.

I feel like the manga has made a better impression than the novel.

The title and initial start was generic. A lot of different stories have been written but the mc becomes “op” but somehow he isn’t op because for plot’s sake. Kinda retcon his abilities.

So that’s why early chapters were meh.

But it took a turn with the elf. We were given a story of attachment and inevitable separation. One of the best ways to get into people’s minds and hearts, to make an emotional connection.

The rest of the worlds are a mash up of various premises. Stories different from your usual “hero vs demon lord”

I hope to see how much better this would be. In fact, this kind of makes me wonder if there are mangas/novels where the initial story ends, then it follows a differe genre, a new story for the casts. Tonikawa is close I guess, and some like takagi, have a “sequel” manga.

They don’t make mangas like the old days, where authors just literally continue their story without a goal in mind. Combine that endless chapters with proper planning and maybe we can get something amazing.

If there's one thing I learned, it's that the quality of the WN does not correlate to the quality of stories. Some of my favorite Manga have unreadably bad WN's, and then they get adapted into manga and become S Tier. The LN is typically a better indicator of quality, and from what I hear, the LN for this one is pretty decent.
mind I ask which ones? I'm interested to read some of those

With a LN, the one that immediately comes to mind is probably Lv2 kara Cheat datta Moto Yuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life, which has a pretty good manga, a decent enough light novel, and a GOD AWFUL web novel where it feels like the MC has no complexity or morals (as an example, he refused to take slaves in pretty much the entire manga or LN, but has like 3 by the time you get to the same point in the WN).

Without a light novel, I'm thinking of Kindan Shitei de Breakthrough ~Boy Meets Satan~, which though it unfortunately got cancelled alongside the web novel had one of the coolest manga ever and despite having mostly the same plot found a way to make every scene in the web novel mid and even kinda boring at points.

There's probably better manga in general that serves my point well, but I just got out of class and I'm tired, so this is the best I got.

I hate Tia she's so silly and childish. It ruined the moody more serious tone of the main character. I liked the solitude he felt while travelling and his bittersweet feelings whenever he saved the heroes but came back to the start alone. I honestly don't enjoy the way the story progressed. I feel like the tone was way better before. Plus when he was alone his interactions were so tactful and pleasant to read. Now it's "cute anime girl does cute anime things" -> funny reactions all around haha. I really hate it. That's just me though.

The cover art is so cool every time. I bought the first 2 comics from amazon.jp because that's the only place I found them but somehow I didn't think they would be in Japanese. It was the first time I ever bought from overseas let alone a manga. I wanted to use the fact that it's the first time I've bought a manga as an excuse to make my friends try it out but instead I bought something unreadable :(

Eh, it'd be perfect to end the whole series here with an open ending where Ed and Tia start saving isekai worlds.
There's no reason to actually go through 100 worlds other than milking for $$$
