To your #1, I'd say the result matters more than the intent, but ok.
To your #2 however, "why should they" what? Apologise? because they ended up doing something they themself see as wrong. Use the right metric? because the oposite creates all sorts of stunted polls and can also lead to all manners of conspiracy theories. Communicate? if that was what your question was about you must have a sorry life (so I don't think that was the question).

Note tha, both of our feelings on translation redundancy are irrelevent to this situation as the positions of all people involved (which we are not) are aligned.

This came after the note at the end of the chapter lamenting their move while explaining why, and half a comment condemning them.
You seem to be the one having trouble understanding what you are reading if you can't help but read something that wasn't written. I know this way of thinking is common among normal people but you're not a telepath, you're only assuming why someone is acting a certain way based on how you (who is not them) would react in the same (to the best of your knowledge) situation.
If you could stick to word-reading, you would realise that Shadow proposed a theory as to why Kitty "snipped" them (not being aware of the series still being worked on due to the use of a wrong metric), theory that Kitty did not deny!

Now, let me ask you. What did you read to come to the conclusion that Kitty "felt pressured" (not that they could have felt pressured, but that they definitely 100% felt pressure)?

#1 Sniping is putting out a release with the INTENT to steal it from an active group this is not sniping
#2 why should they. if they want to put work into translation and put it up on here it is their right to do so or mangadex would not allow it.


just because you and people like you decided arbitrarily that only one group can work on a series at a time does not mean everyone has to follow your arbitrary rules.

More then one scan is often better then one as translation is not an exact science and comparing two works provides better context for the story.

This was always the weird thing with this, newsflash to others, not all groups are in mangadex.

So it's perfectly fine to have both work at one project, different interpretations of the thing

even then, scanlators are doing the community a service by giving up their free time to not just translate dialogue but clean, redraw, typeset a whole chapter - all of which is very tedious work. and some people act like they are being disrespected because a chapter isn't "on time".

Thank you for responding so quick on this, I just decided to wait until the group that was handled this series extremely well for so long gave their chapter cause I'm not extremely flippant.

Like don't get me wrong, I respect KittyBlue for their work on other actually neglected series, but immediately going for this was in poor taste… in several ways.

Therefore I don't see a problem of other scanlators translating a bit (The raws are already at like 53 afterall)

Oh yeah the latest raw is 23, it said "51-56" where you could check the episodes even though it doesn't have that many chapters. (Not sure why that's an option in that case but oh well)

Thanks again shadow, all cheers to your good work. And for me, anyone that want to rush things or "demand" anything, you are plain insane. This manga is a piece of art and time is needed for it be plublished, even more to be uploaded for free to us, but the wait is worth.
