I can’t even really agree she got redemption at the end either, because she never actually faced any tangible consequences to achieve atonement; she only got self-inflicted guilt when everyone else kept telling her they forgive her.Totally agree, if she were another type of person she would have never been involved in that. Or at least she would have actually joined and helped Denys at the precise moment she met with him.
Well, we can give her at the very least that she redeemed herself in the end?
Maybe she would have achieved redemption if she suffered some actual consequences for her actions, but i believe many readers would still probably think “eh, she got what she deserved.”
