He's not cursed, which would permanently prevent him from learning it, she just refused to provide the "files" needed to learn it in the language data dump she gave him at the start of the series. He was still able to learn it normally, he just didn't have the native ability to pronounce the words easily.


The upcoming deal with the goddess gives him the rest of the language files, including the ones for the muscle memory needed for his mouth to speak that language normally. too bad he goes over data capacity fast.

He attempts to learn it at chapter 10. He learns to read, write and comprehend when spoken to but is unable to speak it himself because of what the goddess did to him in chapter 1.

Can’t cure it because he is unawere of it

Tomoe/Shin is originally female, the contract has nothing to do with it. If the contract did, Shiki would be female as well.

Shiki had to be doped and buffed to all hell and was still lucky to not end up as a mindless thrall of Makoto's when he did the contract.

they only take the form closest to the dominant person (which in this case is a hyuman) in the contract not what the contractor expects or like them to be. All the greater dragons apart from root has a defined gender.
