It wasn't about that scammer of a innkeeper. He was annoyed at her for making a scene against his previous wishes in the guild to preen and for purposefully trying to set up classical romantic period drama scenes without regard for the trouble it might cause. Essentially, she took her weebery too far. See how he didn't punish Mio, despite her being even more menacing at the desk worker or even that scene at the inn.
