So it really does seem to be the mere act of direct physical contact. And if it's sustained like with hand-holding, then Noah will stay asleep.
I saw that the group that put up the first couple chapters temporarily uploaded up to chapter 8 or 9 or something then took them down (lots of pronoun errors in those, maybe that's why), but the reveal about the origin of that "curse mark" is destined for later so I'll leave it off for now.
Noah refusing to show it, means it's probably in a "private place" that can't be shown in mixed company anyway, and obvious somewhere that Noah refuses to show to someone like Selene, given their 'strictly business' relationship and the clear distrust between them. They're both using the other, and that's all there is to it--no need to complicate things by revealing "unnecessary info".
Though I do think it's funny that without actually looking into it, neither of them can expect to "solve" this curse, and thus Selene remains necessary to ensure Noah sleeps through the night. So as much as they snipe at one another and are clearly still quite tense about this, the seemingly-obvious route to resolving things permanently is being consciously avoided.
Surely that doesn't mean anything regarding Noah's thoughts or feelings toward Selene.

But, hopefully they do actually try and experiment with things going forward. Clearly they need to eventually figure out how to touch one another without Noah entering REMland, because otherwise nothing fun will go down between them (whether in a lovey-dovey manner or in a "I will defeat you" manner, both acceptable author, thank you). It only working on Noah as well is definitely important, but I wonder if Selene could "train" herself to affect others, or if it's something to do with the Curse after all -- say, she can affect anyone with that specific Curse, and it just so happens only Noah has it (thus far).
Basically we need more data, and I hope we get it soon.
Also, Leona teasing Ciel like that getting all up-close-and-personal definitely means they're meant to have some sort of deal between them. I maintain that's the next pairing, or at least another of the predetermined romances that will result from all of this.

My bet is on the prince(ss) being blessed by a fairy when she needed to pull all-nighters (but forgot about the side effects), and the summoned heroine's ability is to negate all kinds of magic because she hails from a world with index, railgun and accelerator without magic.

tired of protags being bottoms after all that aggressive courting they did, then they become bottom when they are in the relationship
