Thanks for the TL! Now I'm curious what the initial draft was. I can kinda imagine what the story would have been like if Tsuruta as the protagonist. Sorry Tsuruta, but I'm glad we got Miwa and Saeko instead.

The draft is interesting, though I'm glad we got the revised version. If I can find digital raws for it I'll do a translation, but I can't bring myself to destroy my physical copy to do a scan of it. The ink drawings are really cute.

The plot isn't entirely different from the first chapter of the serialization (starts at a club fair, the same 5 characters end up making a band for the music club), but it focuses more on Tsuruta's perspective. Unfortunately a lot of that involves Tsuruta's anime goods, ramblings about his love for 2D girls, and freak-outs over his interactions with a "3D girl", Miwa lmao.



About halfway through, Tsuruta confesses to Miwa, but she turns him down telling him she's only able to like women, which he's unable to process.


Saeko unfortunately doesn't get much screen time. She almost interacts with Miwa at the club fair, but Tsuruta interrupts her. At the end, she shows up to goof off with Mikkun and goad Tsuruta into asking out Miwa (a few pages after he already did and got rejected, which she doesn't know). She also talks about how awesome Miwa's boobs are, so it's not all different.
