They're not yet at the point where they've realized they have feelings for each other I think. Right now they're just awkward kids flirting without really realizing they are.
BTW all she really did last chapter was call him a perv. The other girl knew that wasn't what he was doing, so I'd say it was obvious to everyone involved she was simply teasing him
Except it
was out of character for her - every other chapter, whether it was just them or with a third party, she'd cut any jibe thrown his way with something neutral or even slightly complimentary.
She also has demonstrated that she understands context and has situational awareness. So why did she go out of her way to call him a pervert, "pretend" (I guess) to misread the situation, give him no chance to explain, and then leave without any sort of farewell statement (also a first)?
It was a clear deviation from every other chapter for them, which makes this weird awkwardness of chapter 8 even more jarring, like some sort of implicit acknowledgment and overcorrection for her shift in behavior from the previous.
Even if it was played off as just teasing or being due to jealousy on her part, Machino was different last go-around, to a surprising degree, and the noticable lack of any reference to that on either character's part, makes this one extra strange with the sudden fan service moment tacked on.
