I'm getting a bit of Nega-kun and Posi-chan vibes from them, but not to the same extremes. She's positive enough to balance him out, and when she gets flustered or turns away, he pulls her back. It's a good balance, despite his issues.

MC causes stupid misunderstandings, but then suddenly acts like a Chad and resolves them immediately. Whatever this dynamic is, I'm loving it.

I cant understand why people talking shit about mc in the title comments but mc is fine honestly he has a trauma but even then he didnt want to make her sad and did some bold things. Like accepting her for marriage or saying lets sleep together its fine. The one causing all the misunderstandings is riko bc she isnt being honest so he assumes something else bc he is afraid of misunderstanding something and making her hate him like happened in the past. If she were to be honest about her toughts and feelings he wouldnt look like spineless dense mc. He thinks that this is a contract marriage needed for her to stay in japan, what can he do.

Bro no amount of trauma is an excuse to be this oblivious. If it was just trauma, he would have thought "Maybe she likes me...nah no way, and I'm too scared to ask"
But that's not what is happening. The MC genuinely does not think for even a second that she likes him in any way, she just assumes she is using him to stay in Japan and does all the chores for him because she wants to repay him for letting her stay there etc
The density to not be able to recognize how people feel for you can be annoying
