An uncle of mine got divorced bc his wife didn't know how to cook... So Takae's words are real.
Today a fb page I've been following for many years has mentioned this series, and I'm happy to see that there are many more ppl that are getting to know and appreciate this story :D
Anyways, see you later and I hope I didn't make many mistakes in this ch.!

Why did he even get married in the first place if that was going to be an issue down the road?

yikes but yeah that feels like that'd be something you should know about before going into marriage tho i guess sometimes when dating most ppl go out to eat/rarely do a 'cook a meal for your partner' thing unless they're already at a sleepover/move in stage (tho even if i was 'amazing' at cooking i wouldn't wanna do it everyday versus maybe once a week as a huge portion to set aside lol, but it must be crushing for some parents/hobbyist chefs whose relatives/kids prefer microwave dinners)

In relation to this story, Japan is still VERY conservative and widely believes in old school gender roles even to this day, that's why.

Reminds me of a story a friend of mine who live in ichinoseki. The husband is a construction worker, the wife was a doctor, made 5 time more money than him. she became a stay at home wife when they married.
