I'm not a dad but I sure am proud of Mai-chan. Among many things... she has Dad's empathy, and Mom's keen eye.
And I guess, the slapping strength of both combined ('cause damn he was on his a** after that one smack to the face).
That one line from Takae at the end felt like an epiphany, though.
It's akin to what my Philo teacher in high school said about marriage. It's a vague solution to someone asking what love really is. And on top of all that, it's something that popped into my head, towards this person I've liked for more than half a decade.
I love this, both the manga and its author. Funny how life works.
p.s. Keisuke-ojiisan is a chad for making Takae feel that way. Even Mai-chan can't believe it lmao🍜
