Thank God Mom is safe and sound... because a literal shitstorm is brewing just on the other side. Marika's mother never deserved that guy's low-key deception, especially when she was so genuine about being a better mother and having a better family relationship.

I... just hope this series of events won't lead to the very abuse and neglect that she apologized to Marika for.
