this is complicated. People in previous chapter keep saying that this wasn't adult woman's behavior, but it's been hinted from the start that Marika is still in there. It's just that Takae's mind has control mostly

Imagine being a kid then have a literal lifetime's worth memories flood into your head. The memories you yourself had would... be put aside thanks to sorting this out being top priority.

The concept of souls being overwritten or merging messily still makes me feel uneasy since I can't choose which to comfortably believe in for Takae's case.

Either way... it may feel like you've forgotten everything you've experienced before. But it's impressive to imagine a bunch of raw emotions flooding out, from a part of yourself that was kept hidden after everything that's happened, from a photograph you don't even remember...
