I feel like at this point the dad’s convenient love interest has been more fleshed out and had more character development than the dad himself. The most we got with him was flashbacks to when he and his wife first met. Idk, sorta wish he’d at least develop a little bit or at least acknowledge the weirdness of his situation :haa:

Again tho, why is the husband being like this. The sooner he can let her wife go, the better he can come to term with her death. Now we're put into an akward situation where this grown ass dude trying to have a fun date with an elementary schoolgirl with her mom.

This series is really good, but, it's so complicated. Kind of reminds me of Usagi drop.

Well, I see at least 5 possible scenarios:

1. Nijima waits for Marika to be an adult and remarries her as he originally intended.
2. Both Marika and Nijima move on and Moriya manages to win Nijima over.
3. This date goes better than intended and Chika develops feelings for Nijima.
4. Marika eventually forgets about her previous life and Nijima never moves on.
5. Nijima moves on, but something happens to him before he develops a new relationship.

If Murata goes with option 1, it'd be Usagi Drop all over again, but, that'd really make the entire story pointless; I mean, Marika quite literally came back because she was worried about Nijima and if he doesn't change at all, then Nijima didn't grow since chapter 1.

As for the other scenarios, they're just some possibilities, Murata could very well go a route no one excepts.

In all this, it doesn't seems that Marika wants truly to get married with the MC again. Not that she don't love him anymore, but she knows that the situation it's not normal, but the husband doesn't get: what if she loose the previous memories, AFTER the marriage for example? It's time for the husband to get some development, maybe this day where he see her as the actual child that she is now.

Heh, the dissonance of seeing your child as the sweet kid to which you gave a hard time - and one whose soul belonged to an adult woman who already lived a life that was cut short.... is surprisingly minimal, for a single mom with larger concerns like getting a job and scraping by one day at a time.

Maybe this is a chance for Marika's mom to reach a deeper consensus with Keisuke. In the meantime, it's also a check on Keisuke's bucket list with Takae. He better make the most of this opportunity :wooow:
