He purposefully pimped out sister to POS so he could come in and be a hero! WTF! And his sister who obviously blames herself has taken the rap for him for 3 murders jesus...

I'm not sure he pimped her.
He did exploit her to scam dudes, but it didn't seem like he allowed it to go any further beyond them flirting with her in the streets.

I think we'll find out that the sister developed a "damsel in distress" complex and took it a step further to marry awful men and have her brother save her.

Mind you, just because he had a tough upbringing it doesn't excuse his actions, nor Rukia's actions in instigating his hero complex for money.

That or she just has craptastically abysmal taste in men while simultaneously being a hoe from whom even children are not safe.
You are clearly missunderstanding a lot of the motivation from what we at leas currently know.
First that scene with their uncle and how uncaring she looked implies the guy had been apparently raping her and for a while already. Wouldnt surprise me if she had been letting the guy 'use' her to compensate for letting her and her brother stay with them, and the guy was possibly blackmailing/forcing himself on her.
And she didnt instigate nothing about the brother, it was completely on him to decide to basically pimp out his sister.
Because the literal next scene is Rukia apparently doing compensated dating when her brother appears to "save" her. So clearly by that point she has been pushed around by her brother and his plans to get money. And reasons there are many; actual necesity of money so they could live and pay their expenses -though it wouldnt surprise me the uncle was still paying for basuc necesities-, that she probably truly wanted to do her best for her brother, and whats mentioned as well, that she probably has a philia that makes her like bad men... Except in this case the bad men doesnt refer to the guys she dates, but her brother pushing her deeper and deeper into that mess.
My point is that she mostly has been only a victim on this, who may or may not had been twisted into enjoying making crime.
But the one time when she trulyhas done shady shit totally on her own without her brother input was when she flirted with the kid, which wouldnt surprise me if it gets explained somehow later as well.

the faux-superman outfit with a money symbol for the S logo is a good bit lol, it's sad seeing what started as a need to protect his closest family get corrupted so quickly tho... wonder if next chapter will finally give us Rukia's perspective on all of this

thanks for the chapter!

Damn. She very clearly was putting up a front but I wasn't expecting this is why. Also, why was she trying to seduce a high schooler? Is she trying to regain the power she never had with these men? HM

Well, she does come from the same tragic background her brother does, being sexually abused from a young age. She's probably never had a "normal" relationship or even knows what it looks like.

Ah yeah, good point. It seems she's really not had much agency herself at all. I can imagine that much exposure can twist someone pretty hard.

But the thing is, the high schooler is new. This is different from how she usually does things. It kinda feels like there's more of a reason. Something is different here.

dang i'm picky but growing up with JP lunches might be better than american stuff (well by the time we were in senior high food was a bit better but ppl walked or drove down the street for the local meals bc we were allowed off campus) never had tonkatsu but hopefully it'd smell appealing b/c i did read a couple manga where 'lunch detention' is a thing and you're forced to eat everything, i guess it's good to train pickiness outta kids but it'd be tedious to like make doctor notes to excuse if not bring your own bento if not like just trade with friends

Damn… so all the men she encountered were trash and abused her, and her brother wasn’t helping her to protect her too, so she was truly alone. Her beauty is truly a curse…
Thanks for the translation

I mean the art style isn't bad but it didn't seem like she was stunningly beautiful compared to the other chara designs but i guess all it takes is a bit of flirting and youth to lure older men

I had a feeling the brother was the original murderer mostly because I thought he was a sis-con I didn't expect the double twist though or the motivation.

All this still doesn't change the sister being creepy tho

Of course the moment I catch up to a series I haven't read in a year it ends on a fucking cliffhanger.

I thought this manga was trying to subvert expectations by making the guy who looks like a thug actually a good guy but it subverted my expectations by making him the killer 💀
NGL this is a good twist.
He's not being the murderer for THIS doesn't mean he didn't kill the others, and that's what Spica read.
Dang it, bamboozled again!
