What sad (and easily avoidable) reasons for a manga (and maybe other things in the franchise) to get cancelled...Maybe the adaptations can come back with a different publisher/team but the author/mangaka might be hesitant to work with another publisher after these shenanigans.

For those that want closure on the story, the Anime's on Hidive (in the USA at least) and while it's not as good as the manga (especially art wise) it seems to complete the main story arc, and it's fun to see the characters move and talk.

At least they assumed that the blame is entirely theirs, and not the author! Better than most larger companies do.

Hey, don't worry. This time, it was the people in the middle who fucked up and killed the goose, instead of someone up top taking a gun, pointing it at the goose to make it lay more eggs, then deciding it didn't lay enough and making it more bullet holes than goose.

Do not underestimate a writer's stubborness. The Manga publisher did so many screw-ups that the writer decided that enough is enough. Expecting that money could solve all problems might even be part of what led to this outcome.
