Bruh, sad to see this end. One of the few mangas I really enjoy despite the art and story being more geared for women.

Oh this is different from WN I read, and I prefer this one

On the WN I read, the witch is INSTANTLY purified by Liselotte love before the battle even begin.

And it makes me feel like all the preparation for battle go to waste. Aren't that a bit embarassing? Especially since your dad already brought a lot of military personnel to fight.

I feel like all misunderstandings and apologizes can be resolved by money. Give them big enough "gifts" usually resolves a wide range of issues. A series this popular would have generated so much money that the publisher wouldn't want to let go, but they decided not to spend that money.
Money can gloss over some stuff, but in this case, it seems like the author just wanted more respect and care for their world and characters and the editors were not giving that despite how important this series is as a big cash cow. Not asking for approvals or permission for stuff means the author could have found out about stuff via social media at the same time as a normal fan which is not ideal to say the least. And then leaks? Very hard to trust them with anything if they're this sloppy and shady.

Similarly, Calvin and Hobbes doesn't have a lot of official merch because the creator didn't want the endless merchandising of his characters to ruin the comic. Millions in licensing was not worth it as he doesn't want them to be so commercialized.

Some authors don't really care but some want that creative control.

You also come from the era of actual shit MTL? Were every word was misspelled and 80% of it was riddled with grammar errors.
I know I've read a ton of those and that's why my brain can.
Gosh, machine translation has gotten so good. I still read really poorly translated novels/manhua, badly written fanfiction, and use Google translates auto translate feature for chrome. But it's all so much better than back in middle school (I started reading on this site back in 2018, near the end of 8th grade of middle school when I was like 14, but didn't create an account till Freshman year of highschool)

I come from reading web novels through pure google translate where I copy and paste each page only to find out 200 chapters deep that I had the names wrong

I started around 2013. It's definitely improved a huge amount. Leaps and bounds.
It's too late for us though. Anyone who's read enough of that gets permanent damage to their ability to grammar, lol.
It's neat not being bothered by bad grammar though. I only noticed a few off lines in the whole chapter.

Your translation is very clearly MTL, but I think that a proofreader (with English as a first language) would be able to make this entirely legible.

Honestly, I really wish I had the time to PR this; I absolutely, deeply love this title, and the TL is good enough that is isn't a difficult task... I really can't make a commitment for more than 3 or 4 chapters, though.

¯\(ツ)

Thanks for the TL!
