But then she summons the tree spirit which is called 木の精 (ki no sei, meaning tree spirit). I'll take this opportunity to shamelessly shill The Flight Plan podcast again, wherein we spend a good few minutes talking about that pun in today's episode.

@uvarine Cute girl(s) are definitely a top consideration in terms of manga choice. As for the length, I prefer something completed and between 2-5 vols. However, of the manga I was looking at to scanlate, it was either this one or a 9 vol manga that's still ongoing.
