What would you have him do? If you consider his true age to be about or over 30 now (old and new life combined), should he go look for 30+ years old ladies? However, those ladies would need to be attracted to the body of an elementary schooler because that's what he has. So, he would need to look for pedo women. Or are you saying he should stay forever alone, to avoid a supposedly massive age gap marriage? If he waited until Miyano is 20 (an adult in Japanese terms), he would be, in your opinion, already some ~45 years old middle-aged man. Quite creepy for an old man to go after someone easily young enough to be his daughter, huh?

So, yes, you are just wishing for him to remain forever alone in an obvious light romcom.
