Why does he continue to conceal the fact that he's reincarnated? Maybe exposing that to him, revealing some personal secrets only a close confidant would know, would have prevented this fight. There better be a good reason to keep this secret...

@Marco1995 Because the plot requires it. Which is why new Dungeons and Dragons GMs have such a hard time starting out when writing stories using tropes like this because any sensible character would figure it out.

@Marco1995 I don't know man; I can't really think of anything super unique and personal that I've ever told anyone that would convince me of something like that. Like, if I was talking to a younger version of myself there are definitely things I could say to probably convince me, but nothing I've ever told other people.... specially since they only knew each other for like a year.

Yeah it's fine if he wants to be lame plot about hiding reincarnation but why'd he kill Zentos?

Like use a HP potion bro. What the duck. Tie him up with rope and hp potion.

@Crazyperson117 I believe he meant that MC could have tied Zentos up while he was weakened and have him drink a healing potion right before he died. Yet he didn't do that. Possible explanations, he didn't think that far ahead before handing his healing potions to the princess, he had some other reason to have Zentos die that is not inmediately obvious to us, or... plot. Having to kill a former friend makes for some nice development, I guess.

@dereth I'm assuming he'd already died. Even then, would probably die in the time it takes to get some rope (assuming he doesn't carry rope on him), tie him up, and shove a hp potion down his throat.

I figured this had to be the outcome, doesn't mean I like it.

I'd better get another Knight Daddy, tho. Otherwise, f*ck the Princess and the carriage she rode in on.

Basically he even "lied" to him saying he fought for the kingdom, when in reality he killed the princess in favour of the shitty prince, who will bring the kingdom to ruin! Even if he told him about the future and he somehow believe his story, he also know the future isn't set in stone, the knight doesn't know/trust? him and is too deep in the conspiracy!
