While I can understand how deep his hatred for demons go, he's not fit to be a hero.
He lacks critical thinking and acts too much on emotion, everything we learned so far points to the current demon lord not seeking conflict with the other races and now there's even a second demon faction moving behind the demon lord back and instead he just lets his hate guide him.

Yep, not the first time the MC's immaturity is shown! But that doesn't really make sense! He was not just a hero, but a leader in his past, so he should possess some critical thinking! Beside he knows how different the circumstances are now and how much the future can change! I don't know if it's just the author way of crating (unnecessary) tension!

I said it before, but the author chose the wrong character to be the MC. Seran would make for a more interesting PoV character, kind of like the Spear Hero spinoff, and Riize is much more suitable to be the hero than Kail.
