Ainosuke: "Hey I'll check out their group myself so I can figure out how to convince my guy to think straight"
Teru: "I'll create a whole goddamn criminal organization and thrust my bro into the top in a role he never expressed any interest in being, and spin things around him so that he'll also be entirely dependent on me for the new life I've given him"

Nah, Teru's still waaaaaay worse. Reminder that to Ainosuke, the last time he genuinely had contact, he was trying to save Tsuyoshi's hide from the same exact situation.

Not to victim-blame anyone here, but, Kawabata is also largely at fault for letting himself be strung along. I definitely get that he's tired of all of this, but after the Markov arc, Teru was willing to help him with anything, incl. getting into art school.

After he discovered he was labelled as an anti-social force, Teru started diving into the shady business, in opposition to the govt barring them from proper civilian status.
But, Tsuyoshi did not stop him at all. He just followed through with it. Sometimes, it does feel like he lacks a sense of accountability. And maybe that will be a major breakthrough for his character development, at a later time

Watch Saki fall for Ainosuke (but he wont reciprocate), because hes her "ideal good respectable guy" during the rescue which will fuel Kawabata to dislike him

(Im here for the bro love discourse)

MOTHER FUCKER! Teru is the only reason why you guys can even talk! Teru was the guy busting his ass so that Tsu had somewhere to stay/could try to be normal after the government screwed Tsu over! Teru was the guy who gave Tsu a structure where he could at least function after the government's actions caused all his relationships (even ones after the tournament) to go to shit! Teru was the guy who help Tsu overcome his suicidal thoughts!!!

Now I see why all the characters fucking hated Aino in the beginning. He's a good-hearted naive guy who doesn't think nor act until it's convienent for him. (I fucking love this arc).
What are you on about? Teru is the reason he ended this deep in.

Teru was the reason Tsu dropped all contact with Aino to begin with, if it wasn't for Teru, Aino could have helped him way earlier.

Do not forget this entire bullshit situation is entirelly because Teru just wants aproval, on a 100% selfish way.

Aino is a government dog. They destroyed his life and PLACED him in that situation. Then they came and said 'oh you know how we made your life shit? Well if you work for us we might be able to fix that'. And now he's lying to Tsuyoshi and actually using his weakness to infiltrate the group and get Tsuyoshi to work for the government regardless of Tsuyoshi turning them down.
What Teru built is literally the best option available for someone with Tsuyoshi's skills under the circumstances. And Tsuyoshi accepted this when he broke up with Saki.

Ainosuke stans gloss over the fact that Tsuyoshi was presented two choices: Work at the supermarket and date Saki, or take lead of his bros and use his power. He chose the second one. Teru isn't "stringing him along", he built a weapon for Tsuyoshi to wield and Tsu made a choice knowing full well what it entailed (getting dumped). Meanwhile, Ainosuke just denied using this situation to manipulate Tsuyoshi, while admitting he was literally doing that in the last page. Ainosuke represents 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions' while Teru is more like 'The end justifies the means'

I understand that Teru is supposed to be the "good guy", but after all that has happen, I can't see how anyone would ever trust the government again

Alright joking aside, Tsuyoshi wouldn't be a Yakuza boss if it wasn't for Teru. So far Tuyoshi's only options are, be a Yakuza boss or work for the government. Ultimately you're flipping the same coin of morality to be honest. But at least with the government, you can get them to re-instate your citizenship.

The only reason I give Ainosuke any credit is because he's the only person that hasn't used Tsuyoshi in this story. He's the only one who has ever listened to him and worked with him so Tsuyoshi and do what they want. It hasn't worked out, its not Ainosuke's fault that it hasn't worked out, and he still wants to try and find a way to fix things. But everyone is currently in a bad position of being used by someone and that's not Ainosuke's fault.
Destroying the government and estabilishing your own also nets you a citizenship (among other percs too).

While I get your stance on Ainosuke I find him way too passive. Like, the guy is a prime minister but can't be bothered to call up a friend and re-enable him to live in the society. Or like that time at the end of the previous arc where Kawabata just left the place and Teru was quick to follow - Ainosuke waited because his gov daddy told him to do so and even after he eventually went after them he still didn't say anything meaningful and let Kawabata fully leave. He just never does anything.

I'm glad the some people here do get that no one in this story is perfect. Not Tsuyoshi, not Teru, not Ainosuke. My stance wasn't Ainosuke's the best, it's "Teru is a shithead who's almost as bad as every other person who's tried to use Tsuyoshi in this story."

"Ainosuke doesn't really do much," no shit' he can't, no one truly can in this story. Not just those three but even the Japanes govenment, any outside goventment, the fucking old guy int he last arc, no one gets what they wants in this power fantsy gag manga. Thats' the joke, all of thier power is a joke in front of someone else's in the right circumsantce.

So no, I don't think Teru's plan is actually going to work. I don't think Ainosuke's plan will work the way he thinks it will. They're goin to go on that boat, shit is going to get crazy, Ainosuke's dad is going to get called and fix or promise to fix, the whole anti-social thing and we'll move on to the next BS that's going to happen. Because none of our characters can take control of thier lives and the minute they do this story is going to end.

Yeah, Ainosuke isn't perfect, but he's the best bro because he did the 1 request Tsuyoshi asked for out of anyone genuinely.

That's to leave him alone. XP

But seriously though. I agree. The main repeating cycle here is Tsuyoshi just keeps getting used as a convenient pawn by all sorts of people, for just whatever reason at the time. Even during his crash out phase right now, too. It's rather ridiculous.
