Well, she kind of confirmed she's some sort of pseudo artificial intelligence. He's confirmed multiple time that setting and battle wise things follow the game setting. And he has a weapon that is just downright broken. Theoretically it seems like it has a high base power with a Ignore Defense effect. But the way he phrases it, it sounds more like a vorpal weapon with a guaranteed effect. Like some sort of 100% guaranteed instant death, ignore instant death protection... But then he has to slash multiple times to take down the big enemy.

Plus he has to connect, so there's no energy wave effect. So it really is just a very gamey, incredibly high base atk stat and ignore defense effect.

It’s not exactly instant death, but more like an absolute cut. Whatever the blade touches is guaranteed to be sliced — it completely ignores any form of defense.

That’s why when he slashes the boss’s leg, it gets cut, but the boss doesn’t die instantly. He has to land multiple hits to bring it down.
