Doesn't look like their site is paywalled (though it DOES appear to be infested with ads...takes me 3 clicks to get the search to work because it keeps trying to open a pop-up window). Having to pay to see future chapters = bad...while having future chapters on a free site = okay, if I'm interpreting the rules correctly

ah, so it's an optional donation, and just advertising their home site. I was just unsure if it's under the term "monetizing". tho, ads ("pay" with your data lol) are okay with me personally

The rule as I remember it was paywall only, I.E. you need to pay subscription fees or fees per-chapter. It doesn't impact sites that are aggressive with their site ads, because there's browser tools that can be enabled or included via addons to remove those.

Basically the rule came about because some groups were getting out of hand with their releases being multiple chapters behind and dumping watermarks/end credits all over their uploads to "read the newest chapter at _____.com", and in order to read those chapters you either needed to pay a monthly fee or some sort of per-chapter fee.
