The thing I always think about with Japanese manga Cyclopes is how is there possibly any room for the brain with the eye being that big?

I've tried to think of ways around it, like maybe the brain is kept inside the eyeball... but idk.

Considering human cornea is about half the size of an eyeball, her head probably already filled with eyeball alone along with surrounded muscle tissue.
And no, I don't think you can't fit a brain inside. It'll mess up with photoreceptors...

This stems from even two eyed Japanese animated entertainment series characters,the eyes are tennis balls.

In 2007,though,there was news 'bout a 44 year old,IQ 75 French civil servant with a wife and two kids who was missing 90% of his brains' volume due to a condition that caused fluid build up.

It's "volume" of his brain due later research finding out that his brain hadn't eroded,but was instead compressed againt the inside of his skull.

This means it is entirely possible to have a lot of space inside the human skull in a shape almost appropriate-ish for a shot putt sized eyeball.
