I love how close they are! So funny when they cry at the end

After the first two chapters I was sure he was gay, on chapter 3 I had some doubts because phones lend themselves to misunderstanding plots, but this chapter makes me completely sure he is gay. Cute understanding mom though

I'm more surprised people really didn't know he was gay until this chapter...

It's refreshing to see something clearly drawn by a gay man that's pure fluff.
I've rarely seen gei-komi online aside from things I've been linked that were on websites with unblockable hardcore porn ads, so I'm kinda ignorant, as with many fujoshi.

Also gei-komi often have every character be made of creatine and beef and it's distracting.
BL boys can be a bit... sharp, but most people I saw when I was in Japan were skinny or had middle aged fatness in the midsection

This is so incredibly adorable. And I love how supporting and understanding his mom is.

@krisdreemurr There isn't actually that much that canonically deals with aromanticism and asexuality. Usually the main content is about other LGBT themes and asexuality is somewhat present. Or they have characters that are not interested in love over the course of the series, but nothing is explicitly stated, except perhaps by word of god. That's how Luffy became an ace icon.

Miss Kiryu Doesn't Understand Love. (https://mangadex.org/title/20034/kiryuu-sensei-wa-renai-ga-wakaranai) is one of my favorites, but it hasn't been translated in a while.
Shimanami Tasogare (https://mangadex.org/title/15976/shimanami-tasogare) of course
Kanojo ni Naritai Kimi to Boku (https://mangadex.org/title/34693/kanojo-ni-naritai-kimi-to-boku) a later minor character is ace
I hear there's an aro character in Bloom Into You, but that series is on my backburner right now so I haven't read that far yet

@rakyy, it's probably meant to evoke those awkward days when the person in question has yet to come out or admit it publicly to their parents.
