That she misspoke is obvious, but it took me a bit to understand.

It looks like she asked the convention management staff for a "new release" as if they were normal art/doujin sellers. They laughed at her mistake and played along. "Here's our latest release" and gave her the next convention's application.

It was probably out of habit of visiting various stands.
