Overanalyzing the psychological and sci fi aspect resulted on not enjoying the manga is a pity I have to some reader. This work main premise is how its character especially Haru wasn't written in expected conventional norms and shock value from side characters which doesn't overstayed it welcome.

Author is an expert on never let them know your next move. While the ending wasn't resolved satisfyingly, the whole work build on betraying reader expectation which make it worthwhile and entertaining read. :notlikethis:

Honestly, interesting. Not great but I like this cooking. I'm looking forward for more of this author's work

ABSOLUTE CINEMA!

That being said - I have no fucking idea what's even happened there. Someone smart who's good with literary analysis please explain.

Sometimes I read a lot of meaningful, existential manga on here and invariably the comments section often resorts to treating these series as "funny" or as being ultimately meaningless.

This one is no different. Gosh I'd launch into explanation mode as I often do including how it's not just a "cycle" but I'm so, so tired of it. Which I guess is more of a me problem, why am I expecting foreign manga readers who come to a website full of free manga to be anything else in general...and why do I even bother with the comments if I'm so consistently annoyed by them.

Maybe I just like to think and hope we aren't like the old humans in this story.
There is a lot of humor in the existential. It isn't one or the other. You are also a short-sighted reader from the other side who takes things rather too seriously rather than not at all. There's a reason a of old serious works also can be taken as ironic or comedic in how absurd its tragedy is.

As an Asian I hate this looking down on foreigners as if people outside the space don't interact with humor in similar ways. If you'd just leave your computer screen to stop rambling for a bit you'd realize that. Even this author's past work has been this dark while having a whimsical or even comedic tinge to it.

IDK man, the idea of a cyclical humanity would be interested in other stories, but in this one just seems lazy. I would personally end the manga at the last episode.

I thought I had reading comprehension problem but when I checked the forums it seems like there tens of people who also do not get what the hell happened so I'm sure it's the manga's problem.

The ending doesn't make sense and neither does Haru's behavior in the finale. Even using her standards that's just messed up. She says her species can regenerate after being killed but you can't be killed if you can't die in the first place. She acknowledges condescendingly that humans aren't capable of such feat thus making them the lesser species. If her species can come back to life, how do they know what makes up a person (or alien)? You would think if you're immortal you don't need such weapon, and if she had to use it for whatever reason, on what basis does "same cells, same DNA, same memories and same chromosomes" make the same person?? We can see the contradiction with how the copy of Karagki behaves nothing like her original self at all. Wouldn't that be proof that she is not Karagaki?

Shit doesn't make sense. I was hoping author would manage to cook something with only 7 chapters remaining but unfortunately they took the easy way of criticizing laid back modern society. Hard time create strong men, strong men create weak men yadda yadda yadda.

Edit: Looking at their work, they should totally continue the porn maid robot series. Now's a good time.
Haru set Karagki's AI to not disruptive mode which is why she acts differently.

Seems like a rushed ending which detracts from the overall story. I like that the ending has the memories of Haru and previous lives come back since the MC was the seed of the next generation.

Narratives that are built on twists and shocks can be very amusing for as long as the ride lasts, but it leaves little intact to land a satisfying conclusion on. It’s a hard circle to square, and this was no different. The story doesn’t conclude; it just terminates. I guess that’s another twist, but it’s still not great.

Actually liked the ending, which is funny since I didn't really like the AoT ending. Think it has to do with the time spent with the characters in each manga, Aot you spend a shit ton of time with all of them and then to make it a loop feels like a letdown. On the otherhand this is just 20ish chapters so it being a pretty fatalistic ending feels ok or even good since I am not super invested into the charcters but the idea that the manga is trying to convey.

This was clearly a rushed and poorly thought out ending.
At least the meandering had some kind of meaning in early chapters only to fall right on it's face and close the curtains in the final 2 chapters. The only twist was that you expected the story to actually progress to a proper conclusion. Wow fooled me 😔
Author probably got axed or became jaded about the story and cut it off like a leper's limb. Solid 5
