A philosophy that is a bit too primitivist for my taste. It simplifies things to the scale of a problematic school environment. I see where they are coming from, that may even be true in the scale of a nation. But when viewed through a global scale, there are way more factors to upkeeping society that doesnt involve trying to overcome an enemy.
Unless you abstract it to the point where societal ails are considered enemies...I guess.

Although I do like the idea that Humanity's downfall can be caused by getting rid of any enemies they may have.

Wow, that was, a lot to take in... So they're gonna help people unconventionally? Or am I misunderstanding?
She's going to harm people unconventionally, not help them. "Good times make soft men, soft men make hard times, hard times make strong men, strong men make good times." is a way it is often put. Essentially her plan is finding a way to block stage 2 until it becomes terminal rather than cyclical.

Bro should just take her hand and join her. Not like he has anything left to hang on to.

She really underestimates the human ability to make enemies out of literally nothing.
For real. Humanity is, if nothing, incredibly petty. There’s an entire subgenre of YouTube reviewers going ballistic over cartoons.

Humanity has always lived under an “us vs. them” mentality. Even if she does remove all the problems of humanity, they’ll just see aliens and go “fuck yeah, a new enemy!”

In fact, come to think of it… wouldn’t it make more sense to just help improve humanity so they can develop technologically enough to help find the aliens a permanent home?

Feels like it'd be easier to parasite/blend in or take over some bodies like that slime saint series than exterminate. Or go full on death note and only 'eliminate criminals'

Just don't think about it.

In general, invading other planets for living space is sort of dumb. Even in hard sci-fi, if you have the power and technical know how to cross the interstellar gulf, you almost certainly have the power and technical know how to terraform.

And in this story, our alien has the power to rearrange matter and reconstitute something as complex as a human brain, even making modifications. Terraforming would be a trivial task. Hell, they could probably just go entirely virtual.

That being said, there is something of a prisoner's dilemma baked into that strategy, in that you need to trust that all the civilizations that you avoid killing won't kill you later. If you both want to survive, you both need to trust each other not to take up arms later. There's a theoretical subset of Von Neumann probes called Berseker Probes. They arrive in a system, kill anything living, then replicate, travel to other systems, and repeat. From a purely survival oriented perspective, this is probably the optimal thing to do. Kill any near peers before they do the same, and smother any rivals in the cradle, while they're still primordial soup. Like, the math checks out. That would greatly increase chances of survival.

Point being that her actions would make much more sense if she explained that she was just there to eliminate a potential threat down the line.

It has been said how quickly humanity would put its differences aside were we to be invaded. So yeah, just wait for us to kill eachother.

I'd say It was a genius solution, but unfortunately it'd only help the aliens take over japan since she chose to study the wacky Japanese sociopathic high schooler.
