I agree with you. As pathetic as MC is shown to be, he's still an adult with all the autonomy that comes with being one. He has all the tools/services available to him to separate himself from these women and his entire situation...

Like I can KINDA see where the other guy is coming from. But there's no use playing armchair psychologist trying to diagnose MC as mentally unstable when there's an overwhelming amount of evidence that points towards MC just enjoying most of what these women are doing to him.

And even if we wanna label him as being mentally unstable instead of just a straightforward pervert, this man spent his entire high school life (while successfully getting into college) away from these women and he STILL doesn't know how to help him himself in this situation??? Again, assuming he actually dislikes being treated the way he does.

In other words, based on what we've seen so far, I'm more inclined to believe that he's just a pervert over him being trapped in a situation with no way out.

The biggest giveaway for me is how he unconsciously acts like a pervert. Sneaking peeks at chisaki's panties, staring at sagawa's tits, getting disappointed, etc

These are the biggest evidences showing how Ueno is an unreliable narrator (which that guy conveniently ignored those points I made)

And re-reading the chapter now, I just realized manaka's sister straight up calls him out for not trying his hardest. This could be a parallel to how he acts with the girls.
