Y'all seem to be forgetting that the name of the manga/story is "Ueno-kun has BEEN DEVELOPED" ... as in past tense. That shit has already happened and he is trying to fight against that programming. I think he's going to lose ... hard. He needs to find a relationship that ALLOWS him to be the freak (and accepts that freak) he is in a safe healthy environment. Vanilla is probably NOT cutting it for him anymore. If the girl does NOT fit all those criteria it WILL end badly. Sadly that cuts almost everyone in this from best girl, LOL.

I think the thing with her ex boyfriend is to show she has perversion she's trying to supress just like Ueno and that's the explanation for why she's tiptoeing around him as much as he's tiptoeing around her.
