Interesting, it’s been a while since I’ve re-read the previous chapters so I could be wrong, but I read it more as Eito always had feelings for him but hid them because they’re both guys.

I think they meant Kei only started to fall for Eito after the transformation.

But...in ch1 Kei was already pretty blushy around Eito while still male. Also the whole "I'd totally fall for him if I were a girl" also in ch1 before the transformation could easily be "there were feelings already there" but Kei never realized in time.

Seems more like the other person might need a reread of chapter 1 and dissect Kei's thoughts/feelings/actions a little.

I agree that there is a difference, but "you idiot", "you're always running around recklessly", and "you're way too defenseless" are phrases that have implied fault at hand

victim blaming doesn't require explicitly laying of fault at the victim's feet to count, and certainly from Kei's perspective, this will result in him internalizing the situation as something he caused by being unaware of his cuteness

at the very least when I put myself into Kei's shoes here, I'd be furious with Eito. the "because you're cute" would feel patronizing to me
then again, I'm not straight, so what do I know about what makes boys seem romantic

I think you're mistaking criticism for blame. They're criticizing Uesugi so that she'll hopefully be more aware of predators and know better than to follow a strange man or to lower her guard and become separated from the group in the future (though it's also the group's fault for not keeping a closer eye on her). They never outright said it was her fault, though I won't deny the implication. I think their intent is that they're telling her to be more careful and to learn from her mistakes.
