I don't need explicit polyamory, just for Uesugi to enjoy romantic things with both of them, at once or in turns. Now that they've dispelled the imaginary relationship, maybe Eito and Noel's can do things together again. The odds look low that they get into each other, and I'm fine with that, so long as they do something beyond just low-intensity romantic competition.

The last two chapters may be have been short because the author made about ~17 page remake of a gender-bending oneshot she made forty years ago.

I included "(more)" for a reason, but I'd say the story's attitude is "Uesugi is a girl, but...". It's thus far been accepted the school will treat Uesugi as a girl, the only caveat being they bathe (and maybe change?) alone. The student body have given like zero thought to treating Uesugi like a boy. Even outside of school, the haircut chapter spelled out that they can't pass. Not to mention Noel's friends are vocally aware of the romance between Uesugi and Eito, but wrote off Noel's interest as non-romantic just because she'd rather Uesugi be a girl.

i don't like eito, he was a bit of a jealous shit even back when uesugi was a dude (ie. glaring at noel for even trying to talk with uesugi at all). meanwhile why she did seem lonely noel didn't outright resent eito that much. plus eito just strikes me as kinda mean to everyone who isn't uesugi. he does have my respect in so far as him PROBABLY being in love with uesugi even when he was a guy. all three of them wished for him to be a girl, noel wanted to spend time with him but couldn't because of the gender difference, but eito was already monopolising him and still wanted him to be a girl, presumably so he could date uesugi bc he thought uesugi was straight (crush on noel). if it's something else than the mangaka is a coward

also i have to say, i'm really disappointed in how these male-to-female genderswaps handle the men. not in that i think it's sexist against men or whatever to have them all be assholes, but because it feels like an extremely cheap way to sell the male lead by making him look better and gentlemanly in comparison. uesugi has been in guy groups for years and as soon as he changes appearance every single one of them aside from eito 1. treats him as a girl knowing he's lived as a dude his whole life 2. refuse to spend time with him as friends. they completely abandoned him. eito is the ONLY male relationship of consequence he has in this whole series which for a genderswap story is insane, sorry

the only positive interaction with a dude in 13 chapters aside from eito seems to be the one faceless dude who told him to take a bath so he doesn't catch a cold when he got covered in water (INSANELY minor positive event at that), whereas the girls immediately welcome him to the fold, invite him on a date, pay for his clothes when he couldn't pay himself, spend genuine quality time without worrying about his actual gender to the point where he can have fun in an unfamiliar situation, let him use the girls toilets without issue etc. everyone from his classmates to his sisters to the convenience store clerk were kind to him because they were girls and not guys

on the guys end, he's been:

• made uncomfortable by being crowded around and called cute and stuff by guys with alterior motives to the point eito had to intervene
• having his chest oogled at and basically rated as an object by the guys as overheard in the baths
• wasn't allowed to join the guys team which was more comfortable and had his hands squeezed hard by a creepy classmate
• picked up at the mall by weirdos and when rejected he had to run away as they were threatening to kill him
• threatened when speaking up for noel again after the confession
• oh hey, threatened AGAIN by some pedophile pervert taking photos of 1st grade noel
• when asking the guy on the stairs to deliver something to eito, the guy wanted him to fuck off whereas his girlfriend nearby immediately tried to help
• yelled at for being in the guys section as a girl from a teacher who should know about his condition

on the girls end:

• he got his boobs grabbed, after which the perpetrator immediately apologised for making him uncomfortable when she heard it was painful
• that's it
