It's nice just by the fact that it's a little different, but it makes sense that those things may feel distressing or even dysphoric for somebody suddenly forced into a foreign body. It never happens the other way because ftm is a near completely untapped market in genderbenders, but imagine suddenly having an awkward erection when you didn't have a penis before. Or hurting your friend because you can't control your strength. Or suddenly discovering your penchant for theater when you develop a minor cold (lol). Or realizing you absolutely positively reek after any moderate physical activity. Or discovering you have to shave daily unless you want weird itchy shit on your face.
There are a lot of changes either way (though tbh most of this stuff can affect any gender, shaving or BO or whatever, it's just more common on one end of the spectrum), I can't fault other protags for being frustrated, confused, etc. It makes perfect sense.
