That is strange. Googling ガールズライフ doesn't really bring up anything either (one of the top results is just Ciao's own tag search, lol). Weird.

I don't know how reliable it is, since it's AI (though it does mention Ciao specifically, and this very manga), but it makes it sound like it's a broader tag than Girl's Love. Kind of like how "Shoujo Ai" is used in English speaking circles? Which makes sense to me on first glance
