Gaeun is basically just a plot device to generate drama. This conflict with her has gone on way too long with no progress. Maybe it'll resolve soon, but they shoulda confronted her for real the first or second time she pulled this bs. Instead she keeps getting away with it and coming back for more because the author couldn't think up a more interesting way to drag the story out.
