That trial was fucked up.
Exactly my thoughts.
Good on that couple to be so nice and happy together.
For the school though I've thought for a while that the 'trials' are becoming stupider and stupider.
Like I get that 'love' is the main theme in this course but we're getting on reality tv territory there, borderline psychological torture if I exagerate a tiny bit.
The whole thing is weird anyway: they rate the students based on their own (the ceo's) definition of 'love' but there is none, just because long distance works for a couple and not the other doesn't mean one loves eachother more, just means that form of love didn't work/they werent compatible with it.

It's not even a question of long distance relationship, it's that making someone think their partner is cheating on them on purpose is just fucked up. It's not even a trust thing, it's just hurting them emotionally.

tbh the trial kinda, KINDA, made sense before the twist. After? That feels like entrapment. Especially in a culture That values “reading the room” as much as Japan, having someone intentionally get touchy feely when it would be obviously rude not to hew to local customs.

If it was just “this is a test to see how you can handle business trips away from your partner, but you can obviously talk and text and stuff since that’s what a normal fucking couple would do if they’re in a long distance relationship”. Instead they’ve basically done everything EXCEPT photoshopping sex scenes to make the other party think their partner is cheating on them.

It’s fucked up, especially for highschool students. Mad props to Ayu and Kaji for rightfully fucking things up with the “trial”.
