Yeah, 8 volumes for monthly manga it's pretty decent run. I don't know why anyone will have thoughts about axe
I dunno, sounds to me like the author (or rather, mangaka, assuming the source-material was not also rushing the end) is axing it to start on some new project~ If what someone else said is correct and they decide to stop adapting it in only around 9 chapters. Considering how many plot threads are left to cover, and the screentime you would need to give them the proper amount of time they deserve, 9 chapters really don't sound like enough (besides, even if it ends once the current arc is finished, I would even argue the
author axed it before finishing all there was to tell about the story. Some epilogues might help, but that too is a far cry from properly depicting the centuries the characters live [particularly dorami] to the end, and all the things that happened to them during that time).
ps: yes, that was a tongue-in-cheek way to simply say "all endings are arguably axed", because all that means is "ended prematurely" (which is a very subjective thing) and who did so does not matter.
