Man, a BIG 10/10 from me. Everyone’s happy in their own right, and everyone realizes that their wishes could all be fulfilled when working together. Such a great theme. Also, the mindgames were crazy good. The premise is so simple, but the action is so hype that the reader forgets about the artstyle and gets super engaged in the story. I’m glad to see a story where the author doesn’t resort to using overused tropes and over-the-top premises and plot to make a “good story”. Great read 👌
Also, the last page is just great. Mitarai realizes that, without his powers, he’s no longer unique, and that the other 7 contestants could beat jankenshin with ease. This leads him to his next question, “I wonder how I’ll beat him now”, which basically summarizes all of the mindgames in the manga, but also shows that Mitarai has changed from a bored young man to someone who enjoys winning. Good symbolism.
