To be (newly) very interested in or addicted to something. Think of a fish "hooked" or caught on a line. What does "hooked" mean? In this context, is it something like "simping" or "fangirling"?
Somewhat to fangirling, but not exactly. More along the lines of being a new major fan of. In this case it would probably suggest that the new reporter has been following Oguri’s career (and probably the Umamusume world) more closely then she had when first introduced. What does "hooked" mean? So, is it something like a phase when you discover a new idol and passionately listen to their songs constantly or re-watch films with them?Somewhat to fangirling, but not exactly. Yes, you can say you're hooked on a new idol or band, but it's its more general and broad than that. You can be hooked on anything (a new book, drinking coffee, drugs, etc.). It's a general English idiom, not a genre or subculture specific one.So, is it something like a phase when you discover a new idol and passionately listen to their songs constantly or re-watch films with them?
I see, thanks for the clarification. I've heard words like "musical hook" or something similar in a romantic context like "hook up with someone" before.Yes, you can say you're hooked on a new idol or band, but it's its more general and broad than that. Yeah those are different, though musical hook comes from the same idea. "Hook up" comes from the idea of "linking up" (e.g. hooking up wires to a computer). English is fun (?)I see, thanks for the clarification. I've heard words like "musical hook" or something similar in a romantic context like "hook up with someone" before.
Only their translation for this chapter and the next one are bad, they drastically improved afterwardsthanks for chapter. glad to have this instead of that one shitty translation of the guy who said you're "too slow".
Do you have any idea how much work goes into these chapters compared to the other release? The time and effort put into this work is LEAGUES above the terrible comic sans bullshit that the other "team" is putting out. Redrawing, Research, Typesetting, Quality Control, all while they are working on other projects as well as living their lives. It's all leagues above a lot of the work other people are willing to put in, and idiots like you bitching and moaning about "speed" when we get a new chapter reliably every two weeks just serve to piss off both the people enjoying the work, and the ones working on it.this group really is too fucking slow
