Sadly no, most of them are manga-only for whatever reason. There's also a number of really great manga-only designs in Cinderella Grey, if you haven't read that already.Did any of these Amazonian girls appear anywhere in the Uma Musume anime? Brutal bishoujo is my weakness.
They're not even in the game? Original trainers aren't exactly my cup of tea (at least not unless it's an IMAS approach), so I'm always looking for characters in anime and games that I liked in manga adaptations/fan art.Sadly no, most of them are manga-only for whatever reason. From my understanding, most of the manga-original horses are loosely based off of real life horses, but not in an official sense like all of the horses featured in the game. For instance, Snow In Hazard is supposed to be Taiki Blizzard, but due to conflicting rights and such they sometimes can't get the rights to use the actual horse's name. I think they don't want to use any of those for the game for consistency's sake. They're not even in the game? Are you saying that mangas like this are in an alternate timeline than the game or anime because the author's vision is on shaky ground in the realm of rights? I thought they were only picky about 18+ content because the doujin artists' imagination could damage their property. From my understanding, most of the manga-original horses are loosely based off of real life horses, but not in an official sense like all of the horses featured in the game. I think every property is it's own continuity, but I wouldn't think about it that hard, personally. Are you saying that mangas like this are in an alternate timeline than the game or anime because the author's vision is on shaky ground in the realm of rights? All handwritten parts in Japanese are handwritten in English as a personal consistency goal. Thanks for the TL!
Is the lettering for parts like page 11's "Since Everyone's here, I suppose I'll make some tea!!" a font or handwritten?
Damn! Then gotta say love the handwritting!!! It's really pretty, props to who did it. <3All handwritten parts in Japanese are handwritten in English as a personal consistency goal.
Actually in this case they've had the rights to the Taiki horses (Shuttle et al) for 8 years, more likely the reason why it's an OC is because they just haven't made a design for Blizzard yet.but due to conflicting rights
In other words, the canon is pretty blurry here?I think every property is it's own continuity, but I wouldn't think about it that hard, personally.

Things like this are why we have a horse expert in the credits and I'm just the funny letters person. Thanks for clarification!Fun fact: the big sister Amazon mentioned is clearly meant to be Taiki Blizzard's champion half-brother Theatrical.

In an overall sense, probably. Samson Big (in the next chapter) has been a rare exception however, with her being introduced to the game's cast at the same time as her manga appearance. In other words, the canon is pretty blurry here?
Well, in this case, I can only continue to watch the anime or play the game, expecting that someday they will also introduce certain characters.Things like this are why we have a horse expert in the credits and I'm just the funny letters person. Thanks for clarification!

It is not a matter of rights, but rather that Cygames deems them unnecessary for adaptation. To include new characters, they would need to create character designs, hold voice actor auditions, write background stories, and incorporate them into the game's existing stories and live events. With over 100 characters already, it is better to focus on adapting important horses such as Orfevre or Still In Love, rather than introducing random ones. From my understanding, most of the manga-original horses are loosely based off of real life horses, but not in an official sense like all of the horses featured in the game. You can always wait for the real horses to be named after your favourite characters, such as Obey Your Master, Umapyoi, Happy Meak and many others. It's not a one-way street. Horse racing has benefited a lot from Umamusume, probably more than vice versa.Well, in this case, I can only continue to watch the anime or play the game, expecting that someday they will also introduce certain characters.
Funny you say that when Samson Big was introduced in the next chapter.rather than introducing random ones
basically yes. Season 2 of the anime and Chapter 1 Arc 1 of the game are basically same story but different adaptation of the real history. Are you saying that mangas like this are in an alternate timeline than the game or anime because the author's vision is on shaky ground in the realm of rights? Happy Meek is more or less based Hakutaiyu iirc and is created to represent to be the first true white horse in the game. You can always wait for the real horses to be named after your favourite characters, such as Obey Your Master, Umapyoi, Happy Meak and many others. It's more that farm owners haven't agreed to allow Cygames to license the names of the horses. Orfevre and Gentildonna wasn't licensed 'till Season 3 dropped and lo and behold February 2024 came and Orfevre and Gentildonna gets implemented in game.Sadly no, most of them are manga-only for whatever reason. There's also a number of really great manga-only designs in Cinderella Grey, if you haven't read that already.
This is already starting to resemble Fate in some way . Season two - first arc? Does the first anime have an completely original plot?basically yes. Season 2 of the anime and Chapter 1 Arc 1 of the game are basically same story but different adaptation of the real history.
about the 18+ doujins, they're more worried about the owners of the horses getting pissy about it. Seiun Sky owner had a little drama about it in the past 'cause some peeps just "crossed the line" albeit they were practically okay for the most part.
now how it differs:
Anime: Team Spice
Game: Team Sirius
Oguri Cap is a senior member of Team Sirius and McQueen is a admirer of Oguri while in the anime, she's part of Spica and has more heated rivalry with Teio. Also, McQueen in the game's story is a "harem" king and you, the trainer is part of it. Even Rice Shower is part of Sirius and successor of McQueen. Same thing McQueen did when Oguri did her last race in Arima.
Happy Meek is more or less based Hakutaiyu iirc and is created to represent to be the first true white horse in the game.
Can't wait though for CinGray anime and see Pay the Butler (Obey Your Master) on screen. Heck Horlicks (Folkqueen) is one of my fave from the manga due to her backstory.

And there's a lot of owners that haven't agreed yet. Really want some of the 80s and 70s horses to appear in game like Green Grass and others.
speaking of, it was freaking funny how many fans hated Ikze during Orfevre support card banner 'cause he really wasn't into the game and just breeze through Onii-chan's jewels to roll.
guy must still be not over on how many times Orfevre tried to kill him.
Are there completely unique characters in the universe who had no real prototypes? You can always wait for the real horses to be named after your favourite characters, such as Obey Your Master, Umapyoi, Happy Meak and many others. Not that important for Cygames apparentlyFunny you say that when Samson Big was introduced in the next chapter.
Also Taiki Blizzard was a very important horse from this time period.
there's many ways to tell the history of the horse as long as the key events are covered. E.G. Rice Shower's booing event. In the anime, the booing was just on the racing stadium but the game ramps it up to eleven by booing her all the way to the Winning Live. This disturbed Rice that not even Gold Ship can cheer her up.This is already starting to resemble Fate in some way . Season two - first arc? Does the first anime have an completely original plot?
Happy Meek is an original horse for the game. Loosely based on Hakutaiyu but she's more of representative to all white horses like Sodashi and Aoraki. Are there completely unique characters in the universe who had no real prototypes?
